Angels sometimes sing to you in the wind,
Angels sometimes call to you from your dreams.
Sometimes they whisper in your ear and help lift you to your feet,
When your own wings have trouble recalling how to fly.

Rebecca Celia

My second granddaughter, but always first in my heart.

Rebecca was born March 31, 1987 slightly premature. Although a good birth weight, her little lungs were not quite mature enough so she spent her first 21 days at Texas Children’s Hospital NICU.

She had lots of dark brown, almost black hair and was a beautiful gift from God. The moment I saw this little angel I felt a special connection to her. Growing up she looked so much like me as a child. From that moment on, I called her My Heart Child.

Rebecca was a very lovable affectionate child. She loved dogs and horses. She had a natural understanding and comprehension for computers. But her first love was horses and planned to become a doctor of veterinary medicine.

Rebecca was an exceptional student. She was an Honor Student and also was in the Garrison High School Beta Club. Rebecca was the only student in her graduating class to earn enough credits to graduate early. In December 2004 she moved to Houston and lived with a relative to work as an office assistant until her formal graduation ceremonies in May 28,2005.

May 23, 2005 Rebecca and her girlfriend were in an auto accident.
May 25, 2005 God called Rebecca home. I always thought the worst thing in the world was to bury your child. But I have since come to realize that the worst thing in the world is to watch YOUR child bury THEIR child.

There is nothing in this world you can do to make your child better and ease their hurt. You grieve for yourself, your child and your grandchild.

Next, I will see her again in Heaven and she will be taking care of all of God’s horses.

This is how I came to my nursery name, At Angels Touch Nursery *Mon Enfant de Coeur* My Heart Child* .

Memory is a way of holding onto the things you love,
the things you are, the things you never want to lose.
